State competition 2008,artistic roller skating-Doo wop music

South Australian Artistic Championships, Event 16: Masters Freeskating, 7 June 2008.
It's something special to win the gold and to be State Champion. I also got an invitation to go to the Nationals.
Thank you Charmaine, Tammy, Amanda, Natasha, Miriam, Trisha and Robin and everyone else from my club supporting me. Also thank to Sean, Midge and Mike, Kim, Desi, Gloria and Ingrid, Blackwood recreation centre (Margaret etc), Desi, Carlos and Grete.

This is the only YouTube video featuring Doo Wop music and roller skating.
I only enjoy skating to vocal music and not instrumental. However, there are no vocals (understandable words) allowed in in the freekskating competition. I found a way around it: non-sense syllables as they are used in 50s doo wop music and I didn't get disqualified in 2008!

However, in 2009 I got almost disqualified in the State competition using voices in the music, did not attend the Nationals and am now retiring from competion skating.
