The only time "faith alone" is stated in the Bible is a statement that condemns such a concept. Why protestants persist in this is beyond me.

  • The pastor noted that faith by itself is not genuine. Having admitted this, how can one possibly profess to be justified by faith alone? The word "by" is causative; the word "alone" excludes all other means. Therefore, the propositions a) faith by itself is artificial; b) justification is by faith alone

    are contradictory.

  • please stop this context nonsence and tell us what the bible exactly says. by the way paul as a convert himself never met the Lord in person, james did . but more importantly the apostle could never contradict the teaching of Christ

  • Matthew 7:21 Jesus says" Not every one that saith to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven: but he that doth the will of my Father who is in heaven, he shall enter into the kingdom of heaven." Jesus is telling us we must DO works and we will be judged by our works There are many many more places where JESUS commands us to DO his work. To think that you will not be judged by your works ( or lack of ) goes against the Gospels.

  • Where in the Bible does it say "sole fide" i.e. "faith alone"? Answer it doesn't. Oh well, actually it does but it is James 2:24. Not much help for protestants who hold to this false doctrine. Grace alone is a far better way of looking at things. Grace produces faith and grace produces works. In the end we will be judged by our works done in faith. See Rom 2:4-9, Matt 25, John 15, etc.

  • I would like to have email contact with you. I agree with your discussion, it's is a very true and biblical truth. I would enjoy further converstaion with you pastor Keith.
