Maybe another thing to try in getting people to try BSD is maybe not to come across as a snickering teenager that looks down on everyone and laughs like the world is full of retards.

@jcii2 Yeah, I love gnome! But anyone who says "X sucks" in computerland lacks understanding that ... everything has its strengths and weaknesses and pros and cons, and very few softwares actually "suck" (malware sucks, viruses suck, lots of ad-driven crap sucks, but Windows, BSD, Linux, all kick ass in their own way).

Gnome does not suck.
I like Gnome.
