In this video, I'll break down each section of the Pantera song "Cemetery Gates".

Special NOTE: I keep getting a lot of slack for using the word "infamous" to describe the band Pantera in the video. This is really dumb, because...who cares? Here is the definition of this word... Well known for some bad quality or deed. Wicked; abominable: "infamous misconduct".

If you have bought any of their DVDs, you will see a LOT of wicked behavior. What? you would rather they be remembered for petting kittens and riding unicorns?

  • @KaldDodeGitarist now i know what you mean by not playing it properly! i understand now.

  • @tearsp07 but im hammering on and pulling off, which is allowing the pinch harmonics to continue ringing for the other notes im playing

  • @KaldDodeGitarist checked it out, you sir are only playing pinches on the 8th and the 9th on the a and d strings, may sound like the whole riff is all pinched but from one guitar player to another that would sound like shit in any musical composition.

  • youtube wont allow me to post a link in a comment, but the video is on my channel

  • @tearsp07 Ok. Ill post one with my phone and give you the link on a comment addressed to you. Can't promise the quality will be any good. I do know how to play the song, and I listen to it constantly while playing along.

  • @66CommanderCool66 ultimate guitar.com there ya goo.

  • @KaldDodeGitarist actually it isnt, theres two pinches in the man riff, for a simple reason of if anyone pinched every note of a riff it would be very unappealing to your ears, and the guitar isnt that reliable, still not good enough then show me actual video proof of either dime showing us him playing every not pinched, or you trying every note pinched, have you ever tried to play the song? ud know better that way.

  • It's all pinch harmonics in the main riff. Not just select notes. Has anybody actually listened to the song?

  • Great viddd

  • thanks
