This is a Gemtech Silencer on a Rock River .223 AR-15! To be able to own a silencer.... You must first go to a class three dealer in your state. They will give you lots of paperwork. You have to get mug shots and fingerprints and have the paperwork signed by the Sheriff of the County you reside in. After it is signed by the sheriff and all filled out with your info, picture, and prints you can then send it to the ATF headquarters in GA with a $200 money order. About 4-6 months later they will either approve your application(s) or deny it or them. You can apply for multiple at a time if you wish. Once you are approved, your class three dealer will call you to pick it up. Then you have to pay for the silencer and depending on the model they vary in price. The one in this video a Gemtech that ran about $900. So, including the tax stamp you are looking around $1,100.00! Once you pay the dealer you then have to fill out a form like your purchasing any other ordinary gun. The silencer has a serial number and once all that is done you are given the tax stamp on a piece of paper with your info and info about the silencer including it's serial number. You must keep your tax stamp with your silencer at all times!

Hope this all helps.

Unlike conventional firearms, each change of possession or ownership of a Title 2 weapon (silencer, machine gun, sawed-off shotgun, pengun, etc.) must be approved in advance by BATF. This includes not only the sale of such a weapon, but also the act of giving or loaning it to another person. Failure to comply can result in a $250,000 fine, 10 years in prison, or both. Although the weapon can be moved by its registered owner within the owner's state or residence, transportation across state lines requires prior BATF approval. These requirements were instituted by the National Firearms Act of 1934 and were incorporated into the Gun Control Act of 1968.

To the best of our knowledge, silencers are legal for private ownership in the following states: AL, AR, AK, AZ, CO, CT, FL, GA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MD, MO (with C&R), MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, NC, ND, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WV, WI, and WY. Additionally, they maybe owned by Class 3 dealers and Class 2 manufacturers (but not individuals) in: CA, IA, MA, and MI.

  • You'll need that when you join the militia.

  • @Camo4x4s

    You can't. It's camouflaged.

  • @VerbalFlow well true if you buy a lesser quality can, but after tax stamp of 200 thats now 750 which is whatever, i have the titanium phantom from yhm payd 930 for the can and on top of that a 200 doller tax stamp equaling a lil over 1155.. so in general most are between 500 and 700 with out the tax stamp required... its like saying ar15s only cpst 1000... thet varry alot in price, i figured if im guna do something nfa im guna make the most of it

  • @NeverNeverSafari wow did you read my post?? aparently not "because your muzzle presure is being greatly reduced you dont hear much, mostly what you hear is the supersonic bullet" as quoted, i have one on my gun now and its like shooting a 22magnum never in there did i say you would ONLY HEAR THE BOLT thats stupid and something you find only in games and movies, so chill out and quit looking to pick silly fights over youtube

  • @miked16r34 im calling bullshit on the part that you wouldnt hear and anything but the bolt, you still would hear the crack of the bullet. plus you still hear some noise at the muzzle im so tried of people saying this shit. even with sub sonic bullet you still hear some sound just not the crack of the bullet

  • @NeverNeverSafari its the same caliber, just a bigger case. .223 and .22lr both have bullets measuring .224" in diameter, it's just the .223 is centerfire instead of rimfire, and is also bottlenecked and rimless.

  • @miked16r34 silencers definately dont cost 1,100 maybe 550 on a .223

  • That's a loud ass silencer

  • @boosting16psi i love this stuff, its just way to many hoops to jump thru to get it done, the NFA is unconstitutional, i would like to get a can one day tho.
