On Saturday me and the boys walked the 3 blocks over the the capitol and did some great sledding down the SW lawn. There were about 50 people of all ages and everybody was having a great time. Check out our video - starring Kyle and Grant. I came across a disturbing article in the Washington Post today that detailed how a dad and his son were turned away from sledding on the hill on Sunday. It turns out some buth#$%^d guard was enforcing the "traffic regulations" law that would some-how prohibit the public from participating in this type of activity. Well I was upset at reading that - but not at all surprised. With all the new restrictions having been instituted here in our nations capitol over the last 8 years since 911 its just one more case of us succumbing to the rules and regulations of the paranoid police state in which we all live in now. I'm sorry but as someone who got hit by the plane that struck the pentagon I do feel obligated to speak up on something like this. I have respect for the police doing their job protecting the public, the capitol and all the important work that goes on there, but please - we are talking about young kids with sleds here. Get a sense of reality. I have been living and paying taxes here for the last 17 years and I am getting sick of the heavy hands of the over zealous lawmen. These are the same guys double and tripple parking in front of the coffee shops and talking on their cells while driving. Lighten up. Anyway thats my rant. Enjoy the video. comments welcome. Write your Congressional representative about TAXATION Without representation (article 1) - POLICE STATE and Peace on Earth. Happy Holidays.
