The cage is way too small for that type of parrot. I'd also recommend LOTS more toys. You can use pear clips from toys to keep doors closed so the bird doesn't get hurt, but it needs a flight cage.. 32" long by 21" deep. GCC's need lots of space in their cages.

my green cheek spencer did that til i tied the side doors with shoestrings. he tries to get the cage door open but he cant lol.
