Watch in high quality it helps!

I unbox a model 1 Sega CD from it's original box. Note that not everything that originally came with the unit is there.

Part 2 of 3

IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN PART 1 YET WATCH THAT FIRST!

PART 1:

UPDATE 08/28/09: Just had a chance to try it out and it works perfectly! I still don't know what that rattling sound inside is all about though. Sounds like something's loose but again it doesn't seem to effect normal operation.

UPDATE 03/07/10: Managed to track down a copy of the instruction manual.

  • Geeez it took you like 10 freakin minutes to open the box.

No one wants to here about whats written on the box, we just want to see it open.

    lol!

  • @dastallion85

lol I do that because there are people out there who want to see the box itself along with the text and images on it. This part is purely for those who are interested. For those who aren't, they are welcome to fast forward to 3:37.

By the way I'm not trying to be rude just saying.

  • What kind of AC Adapter does SEGA CD Model 1 use?

  • @Riddler95

It uses the Model 1 Genesis or Model 2 Sega CD AC adapter (the one with the black tip). Remember to ONLY use OFFICIAL Sega AC adapters as 3rd party ones can blow the internal fuse.

  • @SiLeNtShAdOw7777

I dunno about that, I got some third party one that was made for the 1st genesis and it works my model 2 CD fine. Haven't had a issue. :\

  • @Snotnarok

I'm sure there are some 3rd party adapters out there that work just fine. I've just read many stories about them blowing fuses in Sega CDs that I usually try to recommend official Sega adapters to eliminate any potential issues. Model 1s are especially fussy units in comparison to Model 2s. If a 3rd party adapter works for you then great!

  • and as he is opening the box... A CRAP!!!! I RIPPED IT!!!

  • @dastallion85 then dont watch it.

  • Wasn't the Motorola 68000 Processor in the early macintoshes?

except they where 8MHz and not 12.5MHz

  • @SiLeNtShAdOw7777 No that's a great thing, some do work but you just gotta really make sure that the power output matches the input on the device. I was REALLY scared to plug it into my genesis because that was my first console ever and the first system I ever played. it still works fantastic and I don't want it to croak haha.
