Just asking about if it is ok for me to plug my Ni-Cd battery (4.8 V 600 mAh) strait into my Airtronics 92777 rx (receiver) so I can see if my Airtronics 94102 servos work. One more thing: what mode should I put the tx (transmitter) on? ppm/fm or pcm/fm-2 or ppm/fm-reverse?

This is my system that I bought on ebay:
RD6000 Radio channel 33 with 4 model memory.
92777 Airtronics Reciever channel 33
Hitec Electron 6 micro receiver channel 33 (JR / Airtronics)
Hitec RCD3600 Receiver channel 33 (JR / Airtronics)
3ea. 94102 Airtronics Servos
4.8V 600 Mah Nicad Flight pack
Switch harness
Airtronics TX/RX charger
RD6000 Operating Manual
Airtronics Buddy Box
Cable to connect Buddy Box to RD6000

  • Great video 5* nice job!!

  • Yeah I am about to make another vid showing my progress so far and asking some more questions!

  • I started using an RD6000 super about 10 months ago when I got into foam planes and really like it. YouTube has also helped me a lot in building several planes that I made videos for. rcpowers has great videos for newbies like us and when you get some experience under your belt, then rcfoamfighters may be the next set of videos to check out.. they got me hooked on building jets in the last 6 months

  • Yeah the RD6000 looks awesome! It is really easy to figure out and program! I have really enjoyed rcpowers and rcfoamfighters videos and I can't wait to build the Extra 300. I already have some 9mm EPP, now I just need some electronics! I'll probably end up buying them at graysonhobby and hobbyking.

I realize that the only way to really learn to fly is by flying a sim, so I bought a usb cord for the rd6000 from ebay three days ago for like $2.25. I can't wait to start messing around with SMS!

  • dude ill do a video for you in a week or so about pluging all your servos into a rx and seting up on the tx k your the only one iv seen whos accomplishing rc with no help at all the invesment is high but once everything is there thats it no more ivesting so great job man 5*

  • Yeah I figured it out through the help of people here on youtube. You can plug a Ni-Cd straight into the rx but I have heard that if you plug a lipo into it it will fry the rx. I really like all the features of my Airtronics rd6000 and can't wait to make a plane. I am still researching all the best ways to build a foamy. So far I have bought some EPP and am researching how to build the Extra 300 out of EPP. I love youtube and all the help I get from watching other peoples vids!

  • Hey thanks for the help DLPlanes. I ended up plugging the batt straight into the rx and it work perfectly and all the servos that I bought worked well too.
