this h1n1 is such a bummerr :( i was going to host a japanese person but they wouldnt let them come over in fear of them picking something up. *sighh* but then again i went to a school where LITERALLY 75% of the students were home because they had it! D: it was scary, but all i did was keep hand sanitizer with me and i neverever got itt :)

but hey IMPORTANTT: im going to be a foreign exchange student in japan next year, anything important i should know before i go? :) please let me know

@Thundercats567 Do you not know how your body gets an infection? You can't the flu or any other virus (lets use the flu though for example) without the virus entering your nose, or mouth. That's why you should wash your hands, because you touch things that are infected, then touch your nose/mouth. Masks do stop infections, as it covers your nose and mouth and germs cannot get through them. Of course, you can still get the virus on you, but it dies off unless its a hard surface.

you are probably going to argue with me, and imply that if an infected person wears a thin, flimsy, surgical mask that will prevent swine flu from spreading? put it this way those masks get damp just from you breathing, enjoy your false sense of security. buy a biohazard suit if you want some real protection, against something as scary as the flu.
