  • @kareemchannel nah cats are the same way at my school. They are poked so many often they just stop caring.

  • Please give the student a break this is not as easy as the pros make it look. I am in school now training to be a vet tech and started doing blood draws this month. Saphenous veins love to move all over the place and can be super tricky to hit. Yes it is the medial saphenous vein; the femoral vein is far too deep to use for venipuncture. You generally use the lateral saphenous in dogs and medial in cats.

    Peace and friendship.

    Have a nice day(=^o^=)

    ありがとう。

  • I am a vet tech. First of all, the guy is not restraining the poor cat correctly, which is why the cat continues to move around that much, also inhibiting the girl from drawing blood quickly. Second, that girl isnt holding the hind leg securely, also contributing to the slow pace. Third, NEVER put your hands around a distressed patient's mouth unless youre holding it closed. Youre asking to get bit.

  • @MrMojoRisin1222 right...omg lol and what is with the constant meh meh meh...

  • That girl has no idea what she is doing, it should not take that long to get blood. I'm not even a vet-tech I'm just a dog breeder but I can get blood from a cat or dog way faster than that without sticking the poor thing 5 times. Poor cat.

  • by my opinion not a professional attitude...

  • this is the femoral vein. the saphenous vein is on the lateral aspect

  • @hiazn69 Because it's entertaining I make voices for animals all the time. He's fine. I was making his voice he goes Meh meh meh meh!

  • Why are you going, "meh meh meh . . . "?
