Zsolt Bognár during a live radio broadcast event on February 1, 2006. The sound is not from the broadcast source and is a little distant, but is otherwise 24-bit. Camera: Wieslaw Binienda. This is one of the most beautiful works Tchaikovsky wrote, and this is the original version of the score. The piece had a troubled history and is undeservedly neglected. It contains some of Tchaikovsky's most inspired, most heartfelt and sincere, and most impassioned music, and I was inspired to learn this piece from an amazing early recording of Emil Gilels with Kondrashin. The amazing string soloists here are Jun Iwasaki, violin, and Caroline Milot, cello. Visit http://www.zsolt-bognar.com for more information.
What glorious music. Brilliant. Tchaikovsky changed the piano concerto in this slow movement into a beautiful triple concerto for piano, violin and cello. This great work is shamefully neglected.
