Shot on the Sea of Cortez, you are seeing a giant Herring school that has amassed itself around this rock island for protection from pelagic hunters such as skipjacks and tuna to name a few. However, in so doing, they have put themselves at the mercy of large dog tooth snappers, leather bass and groupers and aerial attacks by blue footed boobies and cormorants.
Footage was shot using RED ONE digital cinema camera, RED 18-50 PL mount zoom lens and Gates - Deep Red underwater housing at 24fps at 1/96th shutter
