Granit W 2009, CW is bay, 15.3hh gelding that shows a versatility for both dressage and show jumping. He shows a very convincing walk, trot and canter. He has an excellent technique in free jumping with an outstanding disposition acquired growing up with 25 other 1-3 year old stallions before being gelded.
Sire: GERVANTUS II is an imported Oldenburg stallion that had an extensive and impressive career in Grand Prix show jumping including 3 clear rounds at the World Cup qualifier in Paris, Nations Cups and the qualification for the European Championship. Successfully completing stallion performance tests in Germany and Switzerland, Gervantus II is siring premium offspring in Europe and North-America. In 2008, the Gervantus II son Gamour CH competed at the Olympic Games for Switzerland with the 24 year old
Tiziana Realini. In 2010, Giacomo W CW owned by Ravine Ranch Sports Horses (full brother to Grandus W CW) was licensed by CSH as a breeding stallion. To 2010, Gervantus II produced 19 offspring that are winning at Grand-Prix level in Europe and look out for his North-American offspring coming up through the ranks!
Dam: Glory W CH 1994, is an imported Main Mare Book entered premium Swiss Warmblood mare by the phenomenal dressage stallion Gauguin de Lully CH. Her dam Melanie CH, is a first premium Main Mare Book broodmare that combines the bloodlines of Mark's Pretender xx (Pretense/Fleet Nasrullah) with the strong Hanoveraner bloodlines of Don Juan HAN / Goya HAN / Gotthard HAN. Glory W produced: Garcon W, a very successful young amateur horse in eastern Canada; Patronuss (ex. Graphiti W) by the Gervantus II OLD son Garfield W CH, a 3/4 brother to Granit W owned and shown at the 1.45m by Michele Hinrichs; Warwick W by Wodan KWPN sold
at the CWHBA Fall Sale in 2002 to Teresa and Michael Maloney in California; and Gaspary W CW by Gervantus II OLD full brother to Granit W CW owned and trained by Kayla Thompson. Watch for him and Kayla in the 4 year old classes in 2011.
