A compass needle trying to face north is impeded and is repelled over athe half way point from the right and left side using magnets to create motion. This is a crude experiment but later the compass needle will be much lager and the repelling magnets on either side will be wider apart so their fields remain independent. On a large scale this motion can be used to drive generators
You have an interesting idea. But why use the Earth's magnetic field, which in anyone
place is a tiny fraction of the strength of the permanent magnets you are using. You
should be able to build this device using permanent magnes to replace the Earth's
field.

@ToemanX yes true.. but later version will have a much much larger needle and i want non of the field from any
magnets to be within range of each other. The earth magnetic field will try to swing it left or right to make it point
north.. straight into the path of the of a repelling magnet, To avoid conflicting field, it just seem natural to use the earths field, Thanks 4 the comment
