We (in the Americas) shoot these birds because they do considerable damage to our native species. I recognize that Starling numbers may be on the decline in Europe, and that it may bother European bird lovers that the starling is treated as a pest in North America. To those folks, I say, "You are welcome to come over here and collect as many as you would like". I'll even show you how to live capture them. :) We have far more than we need (which is zero). Ted.

  • the first bird....when the bullet landed to the neck, something came out.

  • @Carpetsniff I saw that, too. I think it was the pellet - it changed trajectory a little.

  • This guy is fucking cool! Bow to u, dude! U know how to hunt with style.

  • I'm generally not one for hunting videos as many are sadistic and done in a very non-sporting way. But this one is well done. Very interesting and it makes sense why you would want to elinmate a predatory non native bird. Excellent narration and editing as well.

  • usa sucks my dick and so does the navy seals haha

  • @epsleon Even though he is hunting for fun, at least he does it in a "humane" way.

There are some hunters that wouldn't wait around for the clean kill, instead taking pot shots and possibly leaving the animal to run off wounded, probably to die a slow and agonising death.

I may not like hunting for sport, but I would rather people hunted like Edgun than a retard making the animals suffer for his/her own amusement.

  • @BulletInYourFrog It's not a necessity at all. The reason they're there is because humans fucked with nature, fixing it by screwing with nature some more is not the solution. Australia tried to fix their Rabbit problem by introducing a disease to them, which failed. That wiped out nearly all of the population in one go, shooting a few birds won't even scratch the population.

His motives are for fun, not to save native species. Made evident by aiming for the native squirrel.

  • @Clayton464 Why does it matter? He uses what he is most proficient with. $1600 for a pellet rifle means that he obviously knows what he's doing. You don't spend that kind of money on something that you're not good at.

  • that's a pretty stout little pellet gun. What brand is it?

  • Thanks Ted. I got 240 Starlings last year. Didn't even put a dent in the local population. Maybe this year,,,, lol

  • @Clayton464 he is shooting a pellet gun that is as accurate or more accurate than any 22 ive seen, and he is pushing practically as many ftlbs of energy as one, and as you can see from all his videos he is totally effective, a 22 is unnecessary.

  • stupid get atleast a 22
