My family and I visited Thailand Refugee Camps along the Northwestern border with Myanmar to gather information essential to being effective support. I interviewed teachers, pastors, lay-workers, directors, and children about their needs in the various camps. After my experience in the camps I am overwhelmed with the sense of urgency. It would take so little to help supply their needs. If we all collaborate with each other and donate a small percentage of our income to organizations like ASAP Ministries, Adventist Disaster and Relief Agency, and Jesus for Asia then they can effectively fill the needs of the wonderful refugees I met during our trip.

  • @ ehipassiko, Sorry it has taken me so long. We were there to deliver aide to the refugees. I didn't bring Bibles. They want them. We brought rice, blankets and books from my personal teaching library. They were thankful for these items at all the camps. I wrote down their stories so that people will know what it is like there. I went there to help them and as a bonus the chance for my children to experience service to others and change the future. I plan to raise more awareness with my book.

  • Gosh, I love Thailand and give to camps already. You had me right up until you started talking about taking advantage of their situation and indoctrinating them. Why not forego the cost of printing bibles and give them rice :(
