  • It is an extremely smart rule. Note, rot cord is not used for the line connecting the trap to surface, it is to create a portal for crabs to escape if the trap is lost. A pot without a rot-cord escape port becomes a death trap, killing crabs for many years because crabs die inside, becoming bait for other crabs, and on and on. A lost pot with no escape port can kill thousands of crabs for no good reason. I'm an avid crabber -- rot cord is smart if you like crabbing.

  • this video is very helpful!!

  • @Bbfishman Thats pretty well everywhere, if your trap gets tangled or loss from your bouy then the crabs can get out. Im in BC Canada and we have the same rules.

  • @Bbfishman Thats a great idea. Take care of the land and enviroment. Why dislike them? because they have the same idea of hippies?

  • wow they require rot-away lines? theyre pretty strict over there. goddamn Californian hippies

  • carbing

  • seems odd you manage the harvest based on the group with the smallest impact..rec. fishermen

  • it's not because it doesn't have meat if it's soft.....

isn't it because it has molted?
