Yea, you will realize GRE over EIGRP is really a very easy thing to do. In fact, in the time it takes you to read this you could have it set up already.

GRE is a tunneling protocol developed by Cisco that can encapsulate a variety of network layer protocol packet types inside IP tunnels. These create a virtual PPP link to cisco routers at remote points over an IP internetwork.

That's the official saying on it. I put it like creating a static route, or a virtual link in ospf. They are closely related, although not really if that makes any sense.

You will see.
