I WAS outraged. I yelled at them, and we had a huge discussion about homophobia and ethics. I wrote letters to each of their parents. But I couldn't stop thinking about it for days afterwards. It occurred to me that perhaps I had thwarted some poor teens feeble attempt at exploring something he was otherwise too uncomfortable to do. The video project became a way of aestheticizing and further exploring aspects of male intimacy that are and are not acceptable in contemporary society and media

watching two of my high school students play 'gay chicken' in the classroom. I couldn't stop thinking about the social and psychological implications - so I invited a bunch of men to participate and make a video. This is one segment from a 20-minute long piece with 20+ different couple combinations. that, and, I just think it looks HOT! ;)
