Njoya's Wife

When tom Cholmondeley's murder case on the late Robert Njoya Mbugua was reduced to man slaughter, in may last year, Cholmondeley pleaded for leniency on grounds that he would take care of Njoya's family to compensate for the loss. Now, one year later, it appears nothing concrete has been forthcoming either from Cholmondeley or his lawyer. Sera Njoya a struggling mother of four who relies on selling arrowroots in Nakuru town to fend for her family says the burden continues to weigh her down and now says she will pursue a civil case she filed against Cholmondeley in June 2007. Duncan Khaemba visited the widow in her home in Kiungururia village, Nakuru county and filed the following report..

Sad indeed. Its true spirit of the strength of a woman. Thats the Kenyan justice system for you. Tailor made exclusively for the rich fat cats. Now this alien has so far killed two Kenyans who were bread winners of their families, leaving windows to struggle under abject poverty to raise children.
