u should be aware, when islamic finance institutions deal with banks, they get interest, as it is agreed upon when the treasury dept makes a financial transaction.

As Zaid Sahib said, these islamic financial instititions do hold a threat to investments in banks, as muslims prefer islamic banking.

i have heard, no bank could have the word islamic in it and register itself.

Dubai Islamic Bank, was the first private cooperation that ddi it, and alhamduliah they are now operating since more than 10 years.

i do not know their operating methods. It depends on the sharia board and treasury.

yes in islam its compulsory to maintain hijab strictly..but our beloved Prophet(pbuh) didnt recommend any punishment for those who dont do so..and this issue wasnt even raised in those times like it is today..
