@N1CKRODR1GUEZ Really? Yea your right. I'm sorry and the iPod video was before I was interested into gadgets so I have never heard of it. Sorry my mistake. LOL, I am more of the iPod touch generation.

A great video with clear recomendations. Yes, a GPS is a much needed system. I learned some things from your video. You're a good and fun speaker. Fells like you're talking directly to me.

Pretty interesting video. But realistically, the suggestions aren't very practical for the typical college student. A Macbook Pro? Bad idea. It's 5 times the price a PC laptop, which will do everything you need and more. A smart phone? Also a bad idea. You're just adding more and more debt, since it'll probably mean a 3-year contract you can't afford. A GPS because "you WILL get lost" with mapquest? Pfft! Uh, no. Also, if you're in college, why are you saying "axe" instead of ASK?

@johnnytastetest I suggest a macbook pro due to the fact that half of my campus usually suffer from issues with their pc's whether its a virus, spyware, or being hacked. A mac gives you the security you need while connected to a college network. A smartphone requires a 2 year contract, and I'd only recommend it if your parents helped pay the bill. Myself & countless other's have gotten lost using mapquest (do the research). And I apologize, didn't realize the grammar police were on youtube.

One question about the smartphone usage. Like I've always wondered about this but can't you just email professors by your portable laptop instead of phone? I know smart phones are awesome (Iphone) but is it really worth it? I'm leaning on just regular phone. And also don't students with cars leave it parked like there for weeks? I mean the only traveling you'll be doing is going back home or if you have a job right? Thanks again. And I like the end how you said a gaming system is useful lol.

Only way you'll be able to email a professor from your laptop is if you're near a wi-fi hot spot or a wireless 3g modem for your laptop. There are many things you would need a smartphone for in college aside from emailing your professors, so yes they're worth it. As far as a car on campus, there's many places you'll find you need to drive to depending on what school you attend. You might need to drive to the store, party, friends house, home, ect.
