I have two pigs myself and wondering how well the beer will work 2 months before slaughter.

He actually made a good choice here ... Liefman's is a great cherry ale (one of the few that's not a lambic!)
However, it was just embarrassing to watch the episode when he tries different beers to compliment his veal dish ... he actually spits out Landlord and gags on Brooklyn Chocolate Stout as if it were urine! The man definitely does not have a well-trained palate for beer.

When I lived in the UK the bloke who owned the pub over the road fed the beer "slops" to the pigs.
For those of you who may not know what slops refers to it is what spills out of the glass when a pint is being pulled (poured). They were the happiest tastiest pigs in Yorkshire. They were always butchered for Christmas dinner and I can tell you it was the best pork I have ever tasted.

FYI when they tasted the meat they agreed the one NOT fed on the fruit beer was better.
