I think I understand now why they did not catch on more with my fathers generation. Just a tad to much sarcasm & topical comment in their acts back in the 1970s. To the over fourty crowd they were just another kids group

Yes, this was made in 75 and aired in 76. Mary's Incredible Dream.
I agree, the Manhattan Transfer were really good at these kinds of songs, and they were very fun to be with when Laurel was there.

This is from the Mary Tyler Moore Special in 1975. That's Mary at the very end of the clip. If only the Transfer had put this great song on one of their records!

Sergios345--Okay, sijhnce LAurel is with the group it has to be 79 or earlier. Was this done by ITV or did you take a conventional performance by MT and superimpose it on the gag pix of Kissinger, Nixon, Moshe Dyan and the Third Reich. After I got through laughing over the irony of it, the thought ocurred to me that instead of "dream" it ought to be "nightmare". Good job and definately beyond just tinkering with moviemaker.
Now Laurel and Janis return to sing TOGETHER AGAIN !! they have formed together with Lauren Kinhan the vocal group called "JALALA"
