لا تشرب من البحر
فمذاق البحر يصبو الى المزيد

سيكون ظمآنا الى المحيطات وحدها.
لا تبن لك بيتا
والا صرت بيتا
ومن يقبع في البيت
يكن بانتظارالزائر المتاخر ليفتح له.
لا تكتب رسالة
ستؤول الرسالة الى الارشيف

English translation

Do not go to the forest
In the forest there is a forest
And he who goes to the forest in quest of trees
Won't be looked for in the forest.
Let go of fear
Fear is redolent with fear
And he who is redolent with fear
could be smelt
Only heroes are redolent with the smell of the heroes
Do not imbibe from the sea
For its taste is tempting
And he who imbibes from the sea
Will yearn for the oceans.
Do not erect a house
Otherwise you will become a house
And he who stays in the house
Will be waiting to open for the latecomer.
Do not write a letter
The letter will end up in archives

Jahida Wehbe has in her record many songs that vary within classical, Sufi and patriotic. Whereas Jahida opted for lyrics by great Lebanese and International classical and modern poets, she composed the music by herself. Furthermore, she worked with many prominent Lebanese composers such as Wadih El Safi, Elie Shwayri, Zad Multaka, Ziad Boutros, and others
On the other hand, Jahida has paid tribute to many of the most famous Arab singers such as Fairouz, Oum Koulthoum, Wadih El Safi, Mohammed Abdel Wahab, Sayyed Darwish,
She has performed in many poetry reading events where she has composed music for lyrics by many Lebanese, Arab and International poets such as: Ibn Arabi, Rabiaa Aladawiya, Jalal Eddine El Roumy, Badr Shaker Assayyab, Nazek Al Malaika, Gibran, Goethe, Adonis, Taghor.
She performed in many concerts in Lebanon and abroad in collaboration with several cultural organizations and artistic institutions on both the regional and international levels. Moreover, several Arabic and international festivals and events have awarded and honored her.
Wherever she went, her love of country and people accompanied her. Jahida expressed her emotions in all the countries where she performed: Tunisia, Algeria, Khartoum, Jarash, Dubai, Kuwait, Bahrain, Paris, Belgium, Berlin, Rome, Muscat, Cairo, Alexandria, Yemen, Australia, the USA, Canada and several other cities and countries.
Her first published work entitled 'Katabtani' comprises musical compositions of her own and lyrics by Gunther Grass, Ahlam Mustaghanmi, Unsi El Hajj,
Talal Haidar, Amal Al Jabboury, Lamee'ah Amara, Al Hallaj, and Abu Firas Al Hamadani.
