They seem to upgrade the way characters fight with each Mothership title. I'm not particularly fond of the Monk Class, to be honest. It is slower than the Fighter, the artes are uninteresting (to me at least) and it's Hi-ougi sucks compared to the Fighter. PS. Farah from Tales of Eternia is basically a Monk so this class is actually based off of her.
