As the economic slowdown takes hold in the Middle East, thousands of expats have been laid off.
Without work, many have packed up and headed home, but others are choosing to stick it out and look for another job.

But thousands of miles from home and away from the support of family and friends, where can they turn for help? Alex Light thinks he has the answer. He founded the Bad Times Boot Camp in Dubai - where unemployed expats come to sweat out their problems.

weather here is pants so try to stay there if you can ;)

  • Great idea ! keep it up !

  • People love to talk down dubai. This is a piece about one guy helping people out in tough times, about a support group, about some positivity out of the global doom, not about Dubai compare to other countried. Dubai will have another day as will all other countries, it's the natural boom and bust cycle. Good on this guy for trying to make a difference, I hope he can keep it going.

  • The bes advice i can give you is to g o home or find a job. The dubai dream is over
