Let's Play PS II #17.5: Stealing for Fun and Profit

In this bonus episode,Shir's special ability is put to use as I demonstrate how to pick up an incredibly rare and useful item. With it, we'll never need to walk into Data Memory again, but Ryuka will always take the user back to Paseo. She *must* have attained L10 before making a run at the item,

Shir will have a random chance of stealing from shops. If she does, pick her up at your place and get the stolen goods. You can sell these to raise cash if you want, or keep them for your party.

WEAPONS
Dagger
Laser Knife (2 for Shir)
Laser Shot (1 for the Wrecker)
Fire Staff (2 for the Doctor)

ARMOR
Silver Crown
Jewel Crown (for the ladies)
Green Sleeves
Shune Boots (get these for Shir)

ITEMS
Hidapipe
Trimate
Star Mist (heals all in active party)
Moon Dew (revives KO'd ally)

You can actually steal more than one Visiphone :-)

I had her steal the first one. And after a stealing spree in the various shops (Star Mists, Moon Dews etc.) a bit later in the game, I took her back inside the tower by random to store som items she had stolen, and suddenly I had two Visiphones :-)

Just a little handy info, If you somehow have lost your first Visiphone.

You didn't say how many times it took to get these items, how many tries for the Visiphone?

It took 12 tries to nab that Visiphone, and about the same for the Jewel Crown. There's no formula to it...you just have to cross your...whatever and pray that she'll be coming out with something.

That's pretty cool. Shir's ability kind of reminds me of the "Pick-up" ability that zigzagoon/lineoon has in Pokemon Sapphire/Ruby/Emerald. Now I know where they got the idea from...
