Copper Creek "A Soldiers Wife"

This is a music video we did for "Lori Bjerklie" and the musical group "Copper Creek".


Over the course of 16 straight hours in the making of this film the starring roles made multiple wardrobe changes, coaxed cats from trees, ate lunch, gave poorly timed cues when dealing with pyrotecnics, and some of the cast thought putting out flames with their hand was the new "in" thing to do.

But embarisment aside, Thank you to all of the cast and musical talents who came together and made this one of the most memorable experiences to date.

I watched this 3 times and other than a brief "scene" of a young woman TALKING across the table to a young man there was NO implication of cheating. The scene with her in her bed she is alone and wearing pajamas. The lyrics to the song (if you even bothered to listen) are about lonliness and fear of abandonment for both the soldier and his wife. It is a fact that deployment has been more that many military couples/families can endure. The wife has to live with her selfishness. Listen again.

I realize this is simply entertainment, but really, change the fucking title. You could try "lying, cheating soldier's ex wife". A true soldier's wife would never do such a thing.

Thank you for coming to that conclution. "This is simply entertainment" But yet again, just like television; youtube also has channels, so if you don't like what you see you can always change what your viewing. And for the second part of your comment, Its called "A Soldiers Wife" because that is the name of the song. If you don't like the title; feel free to "rally your troops" thinking your doing everyone a favor, but in the end its just more exposure for me.

It never fails me to keep on seeing people who get upset when they see something on television. I hope in the future that they will actually realize that the people in that tv box are not really coming to your house to entertain you. You may be a literal "soldiers wife" but cool your jets, its only a fictional music video and not a biography.

A "true" soldier's wife, what is that? I spent time in the military, I was single and I could NEVER get over how much cheating went on between married couples. I have to say a military couple being faithful to each other is NOT the norm. IF you think that it is...you need to get out and pay attention. IF your being faithful, then good for you. But, don't sit there and assume everyone else is to and don't be surprised if your faithfulness is not mirrored by your spouse.

Really people? Seriously? Have you ever seen a movie? It is called Fiction. This is an amazing sing that talks about the troubles of being apart from a loved one. But in the end, only that person matters. Open your minds a little rather than being so straight minded and see the real message if the song. It's not about some wife tyring to cheat! This is a brilliantly written song that is based on true feelings and emotions that are real.

I wrote this song after seeing a woman in our local bar crying in her beer to a strange man about how hard it was for her that her husband was in Iraq and it made me sick! I have gotten many emails from soldiers thanking me for adressing a problem that is really out there. Unfortunately, not everyone is loyal as you are. Good for you!

The name of the song is "Don't Let Me Go" (A Soldiers Wife). And when I wrote it, it was not aimed at loyal soldiers wives such as yourself, but the MANY disloyal soldiers wives as depicted in the video. Unfortunately, they exist. It is based on actual people from my community. Kudos to YOU for sticking by your soldier. I applaud you...and him!
