Hah, one of my favorite Mega Turrican tracks! The track title is "Air Ride".

Where'd you get that title from? I went by the .vgm descript.

I downloaded a soundtrack of the game called "Mega Turrican Original Game Rip", and it has titles for everything. According to what I have, the track is called "Stage 3-1 - Air Ride". There's also a YouTube video of the track that uses the same title, but they probably used the same info I have.

It could be made up by the person who ripped the music for all I know.

Lava Reef Zone on sonic & knuckles is by far my favourite out of ANY megadrive game. Even now its conjuring up memories

This is the best part, no doubt. Metal Squad, lava reefs, whirlwind!!! 3 of the best tracks of all time. I´m getting high on this music=)
