I've had two orphaned squirrels, but because they were male and female, as they matured they became mean. Now, my Uncle had a single male squirrel that lived in his screened porch. He would let the squirrel out to play, just like a dog, and when it was time to come-in he would call the squirrel, "ROCKY!", and he would come, running up his body and would proceed to perch on his shoulder. Eventually, ALL squirrels were released.
