@Hedningfaen It is common sense that if God Our Father had woman bring all life onto this earth after His initially creation of man and woman you would think they would know to have the highest respect and regard for all woman and not ever be abusive to them. Men are suppose to be head of them family and should be gentle like Our Lord Jesus and able to counsel and correct all matters.

By the way, I did ask Jesus to "reveal himself to me in truth". I don't really think you're surprised to hear that nothing happened. Guess I've never needed any imaginary friends in my life, and I probably never will... but I dont mind anyone having a few. Belief can help a lot of people who lives miserable lives. But do not try to push it onto somebody who does not need it.

The middle-east 2000 years ago. Men DID treat women like crap. Jesus wasn't much of an exemption. It's of course possible that he was

newthinking and not as brutal as a lot of men were/are, but he certainly knew how to make a difference between the sexes. In the men's favor.

Read through some old versons of the bible, man. Not that dull, cencored crap adapted today's morals and values.

AHA!!! Now we get to the bottom of things...! You think he treats women like dirt and that He fries people that don't like Him. I'd mock Him too, if that was true. But it isn't.

Without turning this into a sermon and getting myself attacked by all the Christians who don't agree with me, all I can say is (if you're game), Ask Jesus to reveal Himself to you in truth, and if you're willing to chance it, see what happens.

He'll answer all those questions, but you have to be willing to unlearn.

The song writer meant that Jesus is beautiful for who He is. (i.e. on the 'inside'). He grew up in a culture where everyone wore dresses! Let's face it, everyone identifies Jesus in clothes particular to the culture he lived in. It would probably look ridiculous to most of us if artists drew him in jeans or a business suit, don't you think? I'd rather have Jesus (in a 'dress') than a trendy, good looking person who was cynical, or insulting or judgmental. Yay... Jesus IS beautiful!!!
