I flew in an L-29 out of Hemet Ryan. A Cessna accelerates out of the hole faster. It will do 300 knots but it needs to build momentum. Did some acro but wanted to get back on the ground ASAP. Pretty wild ride. That plane sucks 200 gal/hr.

Dude, you don't understand. We turned onto the 4200' runway and Doug firewalls the throttle and we roll out soooo slowly. We used all 4200' and did a shallow climb. Not a lot of thrust on this one.

@SlowSVTSlowSVT Two fuel tanks in fuselage, capacity 690 litres (182.5 US gallons; 152 Imp gallons) and ... 1 h 47 min. Endurance with external tanks. 2 h 30 min ... Aero Vodochody L-29R Delfin two-seat is for sure not a cross country plane BUT I still want one very much...The L29 is the Cessna 172 of jets !
