This is the making of my first homemade guitar. I always liked the flying V shape so i figured i'd give it a shot. it started out as a smashed up Dean i got off a friend. It was actually a really good guitar at one point but it had a rough life so to speak. the body was completely smashed and the set neck was cracked so i had to re-do the base of it. i used all the hardware off the old guitar and of course the neck. the body and paint was all done by me. i acutally just set the guitar up myself with 10 guage strings, tuned down a full step, and it plays very well... the action is very low and i do not get any buzz.... i must have been lucky. i am planning on making more, and i have some VERY good resources when it comes to cutting somthing out of steel or acryllic so any ideas now matter how WILD they are WILL be considered and greatly appreciated... @zachkelsoe Actually What makes the sound is the Type of bridge EX: Teflon, Brass, Or Steel
the nut EX: Bone, Teflon, or Plastic,
The wood EX: Mahogany, Maple, Ash
The Pickups EX Active, Passive, Singlecoil, P90, Humbuck
And even the headstock EX angled = more sustain; Bigger also = more sustain.
Even the Fretboard wood, Pao Ferra, Ebony, Rosewood, Maple
Construction style, Solid body, Chambered Body, Hollow body or Acoustic.
even strings will change the sound, as in Gauge and Material.
