The landing strip at Sainte Barthelemy in the West Indies is famous for it's short and difficult strip. The airplanes have to pass over the mountain top and dive very quickly to make a safe landing. After landing there I did this short footage. The airplane passed just over my head.
why dont they land from the other side? why does every damn runway allow both directions?

This must have been St. Barths a few years ago, now the left parking ramp is paved.

@chimpzahoy Take a look at the island in Google Earth. Most islands have a flat spot somewhere on them. St Bart's has only one, and this is it.
