Beautiful song written by John Prine...

This is another tribute and shared collaboration with the very talented Kjell. Unfortunately I've still to work out how to use Cubase (have it but not installed properly to work with my mixer? :( )so the mix is not perfect. Kjell's playing once again of everything you hear here is just fantastic. Then I had to put a harmony on first ... and then the main part, it's compromised it a little but hope you still enjoy it.

We did this before and lost it, so this is a complete rework of backing and vocals. :D Thank you for listening.

To remind you this is done over the internet with Kjell being in Norway and me in the UK.

I have listened to over a dozen versions of this song on YouTube and this one is my favorite. I think that the problem with the video is not so much the proximity, but rather the quality of the recording equipment, as it is not totally clear and is somewhat jittery at that range. But it's understandable that we can only use what we have. Overall, I think it has a very warm, vulnerable ambiance.

Thank you, yes, my webcam is very old... I'm a little older! :D

As the flash and quicktime apps improve - so have the quality of the cam... and I have also moved into using Windows Movie Maker... trouble is natural light, which I have very little of. One day! Thank you very much for the lovely comment.
