Evan Solomon clearly has a hard time shaking his own pro-Israel bias.
He is unprepared for the interview, knows little of the history of the Israeli (lack of) peace process, has that uncomfortable fidget when the reality of Israel's actions and falls back on the "overthrow the brutal regime" tagline when pushed back beyond his comfort zone.
The"good interviewer" argument doesn't work here ... Solomon is plainly uncomfortable and fighting his own demons.

Good stinger missiles such as the ones which the USA provided to Osama Bin Laden and 'our boys' in the Afghan Resistance to fight the Russian occupation in the late 70s, would bring down any high faluting high tech helicopter. Pity the other side can't have or obtain any of these little marvels.

I think you guys misinterpret the interviewer's intentions. A good interviewer is one who persists in challenging the interviewee. An interview is meaningless if all the interviewer does is agree with the person being interviewed and praises their beliefs. The point is that by bringing up counterpoints, the interviewer can attempt to assess the true content of a interviewee's argument. And Chomsky, an intellectual, is up to the task. This is what discussions are about.

When a person speaks the truth about world affairs then that makes him a moron, but the ones that are outright liars, crooks and war mongers are the republicans heros.
