Revo OS.28 ABmods 1st top speed test 68 mph

Hi! im back lol
Been a long time we have run a nitro, we decided to give another try for the nitro revo top speed since my friend still had his engine, and some are getting closer to our old record so we said why not...

Its a first test, we needed to break-in the gears in the transmission and see how it would perform on this gearing... they are broken-in now...lol


Weather: 90F + lot of himidity, not the best day...

Some spec:
-OS .28 XZ drag mod done by ABmods
-18t 36t gearing
-Slayer internal ratio
-HPI Phaltlines tires
-HP8 30% nitro 8 % oil
-OS P3 plug
etc...

Weight: 10 lbs (a little heavy...)
We will test with different gearing soon when the weather will be cooler and dry, engine was getting too hot to run an agressive tune.

can you explain me the gearing please you mean 18t the second gear and 36t the first? did abmods modify the engine? where do i get that modified engine?

@iuliuspeverini Its a 18t clutchbell, and a 36t spur gear, the clutchbell is on the engine, spur gear on transmission. Its a 1/8 scale clutch setup. The engine is modified by ABmods, you can order it directly from him, just contact him via his website :)

i think its just two stroke fuel. You can learn what weight oil to add and what fuel is best in octane. Then mix a ratio. You may save money

I was inspired by your revo, and just finished my os .28 swapped revo this week, however i am having trouble finding a starter box with enough power to get it started. My motor is fresh out the box and has a lot of pinch and im just searching for an avaliable box with enough torque..

Is there anything you recommend?

hey i dont know if you remember me but i need help with this gear ratio i have a 72spur with a 22 pinion 3.27 turn it does in the chart of ratio and i want to put a 13pinion with a 5.53 turns is that better or is it much slower i dont get it
