Corn Snakes, native to the southeast US, usually reach a length of 4-6 feet. In the wild they feed on small vertebrates like lizards, rodents, and other snakes. Corn Snakes are related to King Snakes, Rat Snakes, and Milk Snakes, and can sometimes even crossbreed with these other species in a controlled environment. Generally docile and easy to care for, Corn Snakes make excellent pets for people who have never owned a snake before. They will maintain this docile nature through good feeding and care, unlike Sunny who's previous owner inadvertently starved her due to lack of knowledge. Corn Snakes thrive in temps between 80`-90`F, and will remain comfortable in a 20gallon enclosure for their entire 20-25 year life. It is advised to feed them previously frozen mice and rats in captivity, and keep only 1 snake per enclosure to prevent unwanted breeding or cannibalism.
