Ceran is #15, playing OH
UC Irvine in Southern California hosted an international tournament which featured impressive teams from all corners of the globe. Teams that played included Korean Air Lines team from the Korean League, Bolivar from Argentina, The Netherlands Team, The Canadian National Team on its way to play in the Norceca qualifying tournament in Puerto Rico, UCI's team, and last but not least, a group of USA players who were assembled for this tournament.
The USA players had exactly ONE practice together before taking on the Canadian National Team, and split two matches conducted two days apart. The USA players played amazingly well for not having practiced. None of the hitters had played with the setter and the setter was very unfamiliar with the hitters tendencies, but still they went out and beat The Canadian National Team that had been practicing as a unit for some time and was on its way to a major international tournament, the NORCECA qualifying tournament in Puerto Rico.
This video is of Matt Ceran highlights from the match with The Canadian National Team who stopped to play in this event as a tune up for its matches in Puerto Rico at the Norceca qualifying tournament.
