The Christian movement was based on the astounding claim that Jesus of Nazareth, a social revolutionary and religious blasphemer, brutally executed by the Roman authorities, had risen from the dead. But did this really happen? And if it did, do we have enough evidence to be convinced of its historicity? Finally, what would this mean for our understanding of the world? Join Dr. William Lane Craig, professor of philosophy at Biola, in a step-by-step analysis of the relevant schools of thought and arguments surrounding what happened beyond the passion.

Over the past two decades, The Veritas Forum has been hosting vibrant discussions on life's hardest questions and engaging the world's leading colleges and universities with Christian perspectives and the relevance of Jesus. your query is unjustified and really incredibly irrelevant. No stories contradict each other, this was a lie fabricated by you to support your view. After Jesus' ressurection, he explained taught the disciples and his new followers. He taught them all about how he had now undeniably fulfilled the prophecies of the Old Testament and was TRULY the Messiah.

Then he prepared the next step; he prepared the disciples to begin their ministries, and spread the good news of Christ.

    Got it?

  • i think craig is reaching on some parts. jesus was crucified, was buried, his tomb was found empty then his disciples had visions of him and in a jewish eschatological context explains the cause for why the early church preached the resurrection

  • Why wasn't I born 100 years in the future so that I could look back at this and have a good old chuckle?

  • Why are we STILL debating this rubbish. I would bet my life no human being has ever resurrected in the manner Jesus was claimed to be. i.e divine intervention

  • @Satarack I know. The link I provided responds to that response.

  • The story says there is an empty tomb, women or marry found it, and someone informed the women/woman jesus rose from the dead, than for 40 days Jesus went around, meet some people but the gospels do not get the order of that or who meet who when right, seriously, read them side by side, paragraph by paragraph, the stories contradict each other than guy ignores those MAJOR ISSUES. So all his claims are bullshit. Craig ignores the issues actual skeptics would pose, preaches bullshit

  • So what that tells you, is that there clearly is not a exact ability to know what to use as evidence in them of anything. When the stories can not get any of the facts right, on the open tomb, when the accounts are vastly different on key points, you than must assume the stories were retold many times, and the details and events you than can not quote, from, sorry, Marry found it or some other woman, was there an angel or a young man there, where does the woman go too oo all different answers.

  • Being the bloviating douche he is, just keeps ranting on, saying oo the skeptics can not claim anything, while ignore any of the points an actual septic would point out, its great if you get to pose what a skeptic would question, and answer it, you can not just construct your own narrative, ignore all the factual points skeptics to pose, thus proving your narrative, and disproving what you claim the would state. God its sick really, read each testament, they are all different.

  • First off all, we do not have any texts but those maybe starting at 77 ad, those are the letters I think of Paul, which the guy never meet Jesus. Than you need to first, take each book, side by side, and than grasp, if the gospel are so factual, that you can clearly prove that everything written is clearly fact. One says a whole mass of people saw Jesus, ok fine, but than who found the tomb, who was there no one, an angle, what? Wait each gossple account is a little different but craig
