Awesome, I just picked up my comet and now I'm looking for a Mustang donor. I'd definetly like it to shift like that and be as fast as yours but mine is just gonna be a daily driver so I'm trying to stay conservative lol.

YEAH MAN!!!! "Drive it Like You Stole It" My pop had a 70 1/2 GT Black with silver stripes, that car was a big part of my childhood until he sold it 84 to pay bills. Now I am on a mission to find and 70 1/2 like his and build one for my son now 6, I got 10 yrs.

Hey my dad has a 72 Comet as well with the 302 in it....4 Speed standard, and has that red button on the shifter just like yours lol. I think he said his does 13's in the 1/4 mile

Is it a T-5? what kind of shifter do you have if it is? Thanks

Yup it's a T-5 i have a old hurst handle on it so it has that old style 4 speed look.

That one is awesome as well! So no short throw shifter mechanism?

Actually yes it's got a Hurst shifter base with adjustable stops just a old long handle on it . I wanted the more positive engauging shifter more so than the short throw.
