these maps are air brushed before published to other universal map applications nasa is ordered to air brush out most of these images this is the reason why most things on google maps or google earth is either covered if its a top secret zone or misplaced due to detailing over the certain objects or places. if they dont want you to see it... you wont see it.

@powndpuppy I do find the mystery of whatever black project they may have in secrecy to be exciting though.

@Love4raine Edwards_Air_Force_Base. The Compass Rose dates back to 1933 or so & was put there for pilot trainees to use in case of compass failure. It is several degrees off "north" now. Everything on the base shows up on Google earth. It is just that the vehicles and aircraft move around quite a but from one picture to the next.

@SASNIGHTCRAWLER Nope. nothing that exciting.
-
@TheComingEvents2012 Nope. Not happening. No alien craft, and most the "underground" is in the form of bunkers up at AFRL, the rocket lab on the ridge. I've been there since 2004 and know the ground

@heatseekerws6 Most of what goes on at Edwards is routine flight testing of aircraft like the F-22, CV-22, late block C-130 & F-35. NASA also still flies experimentals. We get commercial craft in there as well lie the 777 & some stranger birds like the super jumbo 747 modified for cargo hauling & painted zinc-chromate green. There is little there of the "spook" nature that even the staff on the base gets to see. That's what Groom lake and another area close to EAFB are for.

Love4raine.... Id love to be see what you have seen at that base, or hear your stories.

D21 drones? I know they're 'old', but looks like the profile. ... maybe a new derivative of that design?
-
@Love4raine If you worked there at Edwards then do you believe that there is more sinister stuff going on like underground systems and that there's alien craft being tested out and other crazy stuff.

Just looks like F-111s

edwards afb... wish i could wrk for them
I was stationed there at Edwards for 5 years. That area where those aircraft are parked is where they temporarely place "museum" craft or "mothballed" "cocooned " craft. You may also see them beside and behind the hanger on south base, south of runway 22R 04L. I can tell you this, there are many things on that base that ARE NOT on Google earth or any other image that I know personaly to be there. For example there are a hell of a lot more aircraft in front of hanger 1600,1210,and1632.

@Love4raine Thanks for that. You confirm the information I found out from edwards & nasa. Check out the information under MYSTERY SOLVED! in the video information part.

Definitely Q-12's (later designated D-21, "daughter"). Mickey mouse project involved piggybacking one of these on a modified A-12 (later designated M-21, "mother"). They appear to still have "Spraylat" latex preservative on many of the articulated surface joints. Don't read to much into this. The extremely sharp inlet spikes have been removed, because there are no engines in these. Once the program was cancked they were passed around to various museums, static displays and test agencies.
