Channels 4 - 2 - 1 3/4 - 1 (9 lbs)

Still fishing a couple hours in afternoon - still catching some channel catfish - got 3 yesterday - two was day before - and four today
Still trying 3 or 4 different baits to see which works best - today I tried catalpa worms - Secret7 - Magic bait (chicken liver/chicken blood flavor - as usual)

In this heat, the old creek channel in places where the water is at least 12' deep - that seems to be where they hide in the daytime - in summer.

So far it's better than catalpa worms - shad from freezer (not fresh) but only slightly better than chicken liver / chicken blood magic bait

I'd give it a B+ while Magic Bait is a B

One problem is keeping it on the hook - even treble hook with spring. I've tried several things and have now ordered 'furry thing' and 'dip tubes' from the Secret-7 company (to see if they work better

Heat may 'slow me down' will try to fish once before weekend - I usually take off weekend - let others fish

Sounds like your having a good year this year, catfishin has been stinkin up here in Ohio, it's stinkin or I'm doin wrong :D
