Beautiful creature, but very deadly

How can one be so poisonous can also be so beautiful? The irony.

@FrankLame the white one is a less deadly spicies its still a blue ring look at the rings the yellow one is the most deadly kills in 10-15 min
-
they're so beautiful. The first time I saw one was on some biology field trip and they're so small it makes you think they're harmless
Their electric blue rings are just beautiful
-
Its hard to believe something thats the size of a baseball, that looks really harmless, be so deadly.
-
the scariest thing is that these little bastards will grow to over 3 meters in length! At least when divers get strangled by these vicious fish its faster than waiting for the poison to take effect I guess.

Amazing camera, nice shots!!

I'm so relieved to see that there isn't anyone in this video trying to poke the animal with a stick. Excellent video of the blue ringed in its natural habitat.
don't know what planet you're living on, but not on this one!
All is nonsence.

"... The slow loris, a primate, blurs the boundary between poisonous and venomous. From patches on the inside of its elbows it secretes a toxin, which it is believed to smear on its young to prevent them from being eaten; however, it will also lick these patches, giving it a venomous bite."

So now we can really get into a linguistic and animalistic discussion: as the blue ringed octopus can both be poisonous as it bites (and thus is venomous) but at the same time is able to release its poison in the water (more like poisonous?).
Hmmmp, if this goes on I rather prefer a bite!

There might be a language issue here as English is not my native language. However, checking the dictionary both venomous and poisonous are translated the same in Dutch. Additionally, as an example of the terms both are used the same way for snakes (i.e. venomous snake or poisonous snake). Is this a difference between American English and UK English?
Anyway, don't let it bite you as the poisovenomous result would be the same :-)
