I too had been looking for this movie since I first read about it in 1973. I finally had my local library get it for me from the Library of Congress in the late 1990s as it was long out of production. It was disappointing after such a long quest. I had mostly wanted to see Borzov filmed in slow motion as he was noted for his perfect running form - unfortunately Greenspan edited Borzov out and instead concentrated on the faces of the losers as they ran - I was REALLY disappointed.

does anyone know who the lifter is in the black shirt and white suit who failed in his attempt?? As a former weightlifter I can identify with that kind of frustration- sometimes the weight just won't move!!

I saw this movie when it first came out AND I WAS FLOORED. Why isn't this film out on dvd? It's a crime.
