No copyright infringement intended but I thought I would upload this excellent series as it's not online yet and it's never repeated on discovery channel( however recommend you buy the DVD so discovery can continue making such interesting programs).
Episode 1 Summit Dreams
For the first season, a 17 member production crew followed 11 climbers, three guides, and a team of Sherpas up the mountain in April and May 2006. The first season's six-part series included double-amputee Mark Inglis' ascent and brief footage of British climber David Sharp, who died in the attempt. The series was shot using high altitude equipment and helmet mounted cameras worn by Sherpas.

  • I'm a heterosexual man, but these are some of the best men I have ever seen on my boob tube. The Lebanese guy, Max, is a straight up hero. Tim is an All American, funny, and determined even though he is held together by nuts and bolts.

The man with no legs! WTF? If that guy isn't an inspiration, I don't know who is.

I can't remember the rest, but they are all soldiers. I even teared up a few times watching this.

    GOOD STUFF!

  • everyone will have issues at basecamp !

  • Russel Brice is a BAD ASS :D

  • @jhiller21 Mountain climbers are adrenaline junkies and this is something in your ego makes them want to experience.

If they are experieing problems at ABC then they have no business being higher on the mountain because advance base camp is just above the ice falls.

  • @brian8793 u think these guys are heores??? but i think u forgot abt the real heroes and they are those sherpas over there, carrying all the loads and taking risks.

  • Cool that you uploaded this, but I still don't understand why people climb mountains like K2 and Everest.

I know... "Because it's there"... but people aren't meant to be up that high, and it doesn't really accomplish anything, other than a sense of personal achievement.

  • Thank you so much for uploading this amazing documentary.
