Here is a clue - just tax income as income. Forget all the bullshit. Forget all the lies. If you have income from an oil field, or from a job, or from stocks, whatever, that's your business. Just call income, income.
However the hell you got the money, its income to you. So tax inheritance just like you tax work. However you treat work, treat all income that same way.
