  • Hello Michael! Well that I can tell after viewing, - I in the absolute delight!!! Extremely interesting plot! Thanks for detailed shooting of a steam locomotive #425, it is magnificent! I envy you, as at us such shows practically aren't present... ((( At me it is some questions: "SWITZERLAND" is a museum? And still, - who or what, pulls a cord with a bell on a steam locomotive? A horn sound - special love!!! Thank you!!!

  • @KHVEDOR Привет ...." Швейцарии "относится к гор, окружающих город Джим Торп ... колокола звонят по помощником инженеров. В штате Пенсильвания Есть много паровозов, чтобы обладать. Спасибо за комментарии .......

  • I like trains

  • Been here many times but never saw trains run! Am very familiar with the Mauch Chunk history & Jim Thorpe (both athlete & town) in general! I have vids from the 1009s showing rail cars being readied up!

Never knew this was considered the "Switzerland" of Pennsylvania! Also visited Blue Mountain and Reading but didn't ride yet! Obviously I have to get out here again! Is this recent footage? Looks and sounds great! Beautiful steam locomotives too!

  • @jimtrain18 ohh! The 425 steam loco is a 4-6-2 pacific built by Baldwin for the Central of Georgia I believe. It was geared and designed to run in less hilly terrain than that of NE Pennsylvania. Therefore the SD 50 is there for 2 reasons first to assist the 425 in climbing grades and secondly in case the 425 quits running for any mechanical reason. I do wish it did not have to be there it ruins a pure steam locomotive video shot. Take care Steve ohh I mean JIM! LOL

  • @sfo1164 lol Mike i mean. the diesel behind the tender. why they have it?

  • @csxcw44ac thanks for watching

  • @Aero203 thanks Aaron
